The scope of biotechnology is never ending as the power to alter life has just seen its beginning. India is among the top 12 destinations for biotechnology education globally, with the industry valued at $137 billion USD in 2023 and projected to reach $150 billion USD by 2025.

Established in 2002, the Department of Biotechnology at JIIT remains committed to providing innovative research-informed teaching and learning in a vibrant R&D environment, with faculty having rich research exposure in academia and industry both in India and abroad.
